On September 13th, 144 people grabbed their clubs and gloves then headed out to Iron Horse Golf Course for a beautiful day of golf. For 18 years, the I’m Third Golf Tournament has helped Camp Wood YMCA provide life-changing summer camp experiences to kids of all ages. This year we brought back all the fun; a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, buffet lunch, and so much more! After an early shotgun start, the 36 teams were off and ready to compete.

Since 2003, the I’m Third Golf Tournament has raised over 1 million dollars – giving 1,500+ kids a summer camp experience they would not have had otherwise. This year, through many generous gifts and donations, the tournament raised well over $70,000.

We are beyond grateful for Strickland Construction who has hosted this tournament since it’s beginnings. Rogers Strickland has been on the Camp Wood YMCA board for over 30 years and believes strongly in the power of camp. His generosity is what makes Camp the beautiful facility it is today. Jacqueline Doherty, the Chief Operations Officer at Strickland Construction, has been vital in making sure this tournament happens year over year. From the small details to the large ones, this tournament would not happen with out her.

A huge THANK YOU to Rogers, Jacqueline, and everyone else who helped support this tournament! Your support ensured that no child will be turned away from camp for financial reasons. YOU made an impact on kids lives through your participation. As always, we are grateful for all that you do for Camp Wood YMCA!
